ONLINE REGISTRATION for CONFIRMATION CATECHISM CLASS

FOR CHILDREN WHO WERE:

• BAPTIZED CATHOLIC AND RECEIVED FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
  OR
• BAPTIZED NON-CATHOLIC WITH PROFESSION OF FAITH AND RECEIVED THE CATHOLIC FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

Please follow the steps below to register your child for catechism classes in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation
Please read all the steps below before completing the online forms. Ensure that all steps are completed accordingly.

STEP 1: CONFIRMATION SPONSOR DECLARATION FORM

• Before you can complete the online registration form to register your child for Confirmation catechism classes, you will need to choose your child's sponsor and have the sponsor complete the Declaration of Confirmation Sponsor Form.
• To choose your child's Confirmation Sponsor, please be guided accordingly. CLICK HERE and read the eligibility requirements for a Confirmation Sponsor
• CLICK HERE to download the DECLARATION OF CONFIRMATION SPONSOR Form.
• Email the Declaration of Confirmation Sponsor Form to your child's Confirmation Sponsor and have the sponsor email back the completed form in PDF or JPG Format ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 24, 2024

STEP 2: PREPARE THE ELECTRONIC COPIES OF THE DOCUMENTS BEFORE COMPLETING STEP 3

• Required Documents:
  • Electronic copy of Child's Catholic Baptism certificate or non-Catholic Christian Baptism certificate (whichever applies) showing the date of birth of the child, names of the parents, name & signature of the priest and the seal of the church
  • Electronic copy of Child's Catholic First Holy Communion showing the name of the church, date of First Holy Communion, name and signature of the priest & seal of the church        
  • Confirmation Sponsor Declaration Form completed by your child's Confirmation Sponsor. Visit the CONFIRMATION SPONSOR Page to download the form. 

• All the above documents must be in either PDF or JPG format and are pre-requisite to completing Step 3
• File size must not exceed 100 MB each
• All documents must be in English. Otherwise, it has to be translated to English by a certified translator.
• We reserve the right to request to see the original of the required supporting documents

STEP 3: REGISTER ONLINE FOR MANDATORY CONFIRMATION CATECHISM CLASS

• CLICK HERE to REGISTER ONLINE ON OR BEFORE Tuesday, OCTOBER 1, 2024 - REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

STEP 4: PARENTS AND CHILD MUST ATTEND THE MANDATORY PARENTS' SESSION ON OCTOBER 19, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. 

STEP 5: ATTEND & COMPLETE ALL CONFIRMATION CATECHISM CLASSES

• Catechism classes are mandatory for children in grade 7 or older who have received First Holy Communion 
• The Parish Sacramental Preparation Ministry provides the catechism classes
• Parish schools will no longer offer catechism classes in preparation for these Sacraments
• SCHEDULE of CATECHISM CLASSES for both Grades 7-8 or older

• • DATES:  2024: October 26, November 2, 9,16, 23, 30
                     2025: February 22, March 1, 22, 29, April 5,12
                   After each session, attendance at the 5 p.m. Saturday Mass along with the class is MANDATORY.

• • TIME: 3:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
  • VENUE: Guardian Angels Parish Hall

DATES OF FIRST RECONCILLIATION & ENROLLMENT: December 2024 (exact date TBA) | Time: TBA

DATES OF CONFIRMATION IN 2025: A weekday between April 22nd to April 25th (Exact Date TBA)
