THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM AT GUARDIAN ANGELS PARISH, BRAMPTON
The Sacrament of Baptism at Guardian Angels Parish is celebrated only for registered active parish members who live within the zone boundaries of the church. To keep your registration active, we encourage you to use a donation envelope or Pre-Authorized Giving (PAG). Please know that this isn’t about the amount you give, but rather about staying connected with our parish. It helps us keep our records accurate and allows us to easily support your future needs, such as when you might require a letter or certification.
One of the parents of the child must be a baptized Catholic and regularly practicing the Catholic faith.
If you are not a registered member of Guardian Angels Parish but wish to have your child baptized at Guardian Angels Church, you will need to get a letter of permission from the parish priest of your home parish before submitting via email to Guardian Angels Parish the required Baptism Registration documents .
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY ARRANGEMENTS (i.e., reception, flights of baptism attendees, etc.) WITHOUT THE PARISH OFFICE CONFIRMING THE DATE OF BAPTISM.
If you are expecting to travel or having visitors travelling to attend your child's baptism, please plan the submission of your child's Baptism Application documents considering the three months parish registration requirement for new parishioners.
Baptisms are held every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month after the 12:00 noon Mass.
New Baptismal Process – Starting May 1, 2026
Preparing for your child's Baptism involves four simple steps. Please review the process below before getting started.
Step 1: Information Q&A Session
This introductory session provides an overview of the sacrament and the preparation process.
How to register:
After the info session, you will receive an email with the Baptism Registration link.
Step 2: Submit Required Documentation
Once you receive the Baptism Registration link, upload the following documents online. Do not email your documents — please upload them through the link only.
Please also DROP OFF a physical copy of these documents at the parish office. Do not email your documents — please upload them through the link only.
The Baptism Team will review/verify the documents and will notify you by email if anything is missing.
Step 3: Meeting with the Parish Priest
Once your documents are submitted and reviewed/verified by the Baptismal Team, the parish office will call to schedule your meeting with the parish priest. If you have not heard back within 2 weeks of submitting your physical documentation, please follow up your appointment schedule with the parish office by email at guardianangelsbr@archtoronto.org.
We encourage parents to bring the Baptismal donation (suggested amount: $100) when meeting with the priest. This practical act of offering helps cover the admin cost, essential preparation and the purchasing of the baptismal candle, which will become a treasured keepsake of your child's faith journey.
Step 4: Catechesis Session & Mass
Deepen your understanding of the spiritual significance of Baptism alongside other families.
Schedule:
After the Catechesis session, your Baptism date will be given.
The Celebration of Baptism
Baptisms are typically held on the 2nd or 4th Sunday of the month.
Note: Please ensure all steps above are completed before requesting a Baptism date.
We look forward to welcoming your child into our faith community!
