THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE AT GUARDIAN ANGELS PARISH

Couples planning to be married at Guardian Angels Parish must - 

  • be living within the zone  boundaries of the parish
  • regularly attending Sunday Mass and a registered member of Guardian Angels Parish. If you leave within the boundaries of this parish but is not a registered member, CLICK HERE to register.
  • contact the parish office one year in advance to arrange a Pre-Nuptial interview with the Parish Priest
  • complete a marriage preparation course within a year before the date of marriage. 
  • submit all required documents in English
  • If you are registered in another parish but wish to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony at Guardian Angels Parish, the first step is to contact your home parish.
    Your home parish priest will do the Pre-Nuptial interview and assist you with the next steps, complete all the necessary required documentation, and will send the documents to Guardian Angels Parish
  • A letter of permission from your home parish priest, granting approval for your wedding to take place at Guardian Angels Parish is required.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE

Couples planning to be married must receive personal preparation before entering a marriage.
A marriage course is a requirement.
Please direct all your questions and inquiries regarding the Marriage Preparation course to the Marriage Preparation Ministry by sending an email to gapmarriageprep@gmail.com 

Brief Description of the Joy-Filled Marriage Program: The program has two main components - Life Skills for Couples and God's Plan for Love. This program offers a comprehensive approach to marriage preparation that covers not only the sacramentality and theology of marriage but also the practical life skills necessary to live out the rich Catholic vision of marriage. 

Couples are required to:

    • Contact their home parish and set an initial meeting with their Parish Priest one year in advance before registering in a marriage preparation course

    • Email the completed form to the Marriage Preparation Ministry at gapmarriageprep@gmail.com 
    • Complete the Marriage Preparation Course. Couples must attend and complete all sessions to obtain the course certificate
