On Dec. 18, His Eminence Frank Cardinal Leo paid an apostolic visit to Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – a time marked by prayer, reflection and deep spiritual significance for the parish community.

His Eminence presided over the monthly Covenant Mass, during which members of the Schoenstatt Movement in Toronto, a Marian movement, renewed their Covenant of Love – a recognized form of Marian consecration in the Church. On this occasion, nine members of Schoenstatt Toronto made their Covenant of Love for the first time, consecrating themselves to our Blessed Mother.

In his reflection, His Eminence spoke about the Covenant of Love as an act that leads to a deeper relationship with the Mother of our Lord, allowing for full participation in the current of life and grace that flows from this covenantal bond.

During the liturgy, His Eminence was accompanied by his priest secretary, Fr. Arthur Lee; the parish pastor, Father Edgar Romero; the associate pastor, Father Javier Valdés; Monsignor

Ramón Vielma; Fr. Arthur Hlebnikian; and Deacon Carlos Retamales.

Following the Mass, Cardinal Leo blessed the parish shrine, Refuge of Love and Grace, in the presence of the parish pastor and associate pastor, members of the Schoenstatt Movement, coordinators from other apostolic groups, and the wider parish community.
